On April 21, on the sidelines of the Regional Environmental Summit in Astana, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest. The discussion covered both bilateral relations and current topics on the multilateral agenda.
Emomali Rahmon emphasized that relations between Tajikistan and Armenia are based on long-standing traditions of friendship, mutual respect, and trust.



During the meeting, the leaders discussed issues of developing cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Special attention was paid to regional and international security issues, including the situation in the Middle East. In this context, Emomali Rahmon reaffirmed Tajikistan's position, stating that the country advocates for the peaceful resolution of all conflicts and disputes through political and diplomatic means.
