The Commonwealth of Independent States plans to establish a core organization that will focus on training, professional retraining, and advanced training for specialists in the creative industries. This includes areas related to art, modern media, design, and digital content production, according to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The corresponding draft Regulation was reviewed on April 22, 2026, at a meeting of the Working Group held at the Commonwealth headquarters. Representatives from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and the CIS Executive Committee participated in the discussion.
It is expected that the status of the base organization will be assigned to the Russian Institute of Contemporary Art. The initiative to create such a structure was previously announced by Kazbek Taisayev, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots.
The draft document was developed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and then reviewed by the relevant ministries of education and science of the CIS member states. During the Working Group meeting, participants reviewed the proposals received, discussed them, and finalized the text of the Regulation, ultimately reaching overall agreement.
Further discussion of the initiative is expected to continue at the next meeting of the Working Group, scheduled for June 2026.
