On April 24, during a working visit to the city of Nurek, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, remotely opened eight social, economic, and industrial facilities following the commissioning of Unit No. 7 of the Nurek Hydroelectric Power Station, the press service of the head of state reported.
First, Emomali Rahmon opened the building of the psychiatric and drug addiction department at the Central Hospital of the city of Nurek, built by domestic entrepreneur Abdurasul Mukhidzoda.
The facility has modern conditions for providing medical services and employs 35 people.
Another facility commissioned remotely was a new building for service technicians, a diagnostic center, and a garage for specialists responsible for providing the city's population with clean drinking and irrigation water.
The building provides favorable working conditions for 40 specialists.
The purpose of the construction project is to restore water supply and sewerage systems, improve the quality of services provided, and improve the sanitary and environmental conditions of the city of Nurek.
Also, as part of the fourth national goal—accelerated industrialization—a poultry farm for chicken production was commissioned in the rural jamoat of Langar. The farm raises 6,000 birds. Officials plan to increase the poultry population to over 15,000 by the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence.
Additionally, two preschools, each accommodating 120 children, have opened in the villages of Chal-Chal and Chashma. This creative initiative is crucial for expanding preschool enrollment and educating the younger generation. The building of the preschool in the village of Chashma-1, which accommodates 60 children and creates 12 jobs, has been handed over to the local community.
As part of improvement activities, the administrative building of the Social Insurance and Pensions Agency in Nurek was commissioned, creating 11 jobs.
A new facility selling essential goods and fresh vegetables, built by young entrepreneur Aminjon Asadullozoda, has also opened at the Ramzi Norak market in Nurek, creating jobs for 80 local residents.
In addition, the sports ground, built by the Directorate for the Construction of Government Facilities of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, will contribute to the development of football in the country and the popularization of sports among the population.
A small concrete production facility at the Dukon enterprise in the rural jamoat of Dukon was built by local entrepreneur Abdukarim Nazar. The facility's production capacity is 40 cubic meters per day, providing permanent employment for 15 local residents.
A design for a modern health and wellness and tourism complex, located on the picturesque banks of the Vakhsh River, was also presented. The complex is designed to accommodate over 100 people at a time, while providing jobs and decent wages for dozens of local residents.
Construction of three preschool educational institutions for 900 children is currently underway in the city of Nurek. They are scheduled to open in time for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence.
During the presentation of the facilities, Emomali Rahmon gave instructions and recommendations to those responsible for expanding improvement and construction work in honor of the great national holiday – the 35th anniversary of State Independence.
