Meetings with migrant workers returning from Russia and planning their trip continue at Dushanbe International Airport.
Employees of the responsible departments of the Migration Service are holding discussions with citizens, explaining key issues related to labor migration. This was reported by the Migration Service of the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of Tajikistan.
During the meetings, issues related to providing returning migrants with permanent jobs, encouraging them to study languages and gain vocational training, preparing them for departure abroad, and preventing youth involvement in terrorist and extremist organizations and human trafficking are discussed. Furthermore, new Russian migration laws are explained.
Citizens returning from labor migration are provided with recommendations for finding employment within the country for available vacancies. Those planning to travel to the Russian Federation are advised to familiarize themselves with the host country's labor migration laws prior to their stay and employment.
According to current Russian legislation, foreign citizens are required, within two months of receiving a work permit (patent), to provide information about the conclusion of an employment contract with an employer to the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation at their place of residence.
There are three legal ways to submit this information: through the state postal service "Russian Post" with confirmation of delivery to the competent authorities, through the unified portal of state services "Gosuslugi," or by personally applying to the federal state budgetary institution "Passport and Visa Service" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation at the place of work, including for Moscow and the Moscow region – in "Sakharovo."
In the event of non-compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the host country, a foreign citizen in the Russian Federation loses his legal status, his documents received for carrying out labor activities are cancelled, and the citizen himself is included in the register of controlled persons.
When leaving, citizens must also have all required documents with them, including medical certificates confirming the absence of infectious diseases, a certificate of no criminal record, and documents confirming professional qualifications.
It is especially emphasized that citizens traveling to work in the Russian Federation are advised to check their passports in advance with the Migration Service and the representative office of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Passport and Visa Service" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan, located in the Migration Service building. This must be done before departure, as border controls at the Russian Federation have been strengthened.
