On April 24, in the city of Nurek in the Khatlon region, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, commissioned the Global Invest drinking water production plant, the press service of the head of state reported.
An industrial enterprise producing domestic goods was established by patriotic entrepreneur Khudzhamurod Azimi as part of a worthy celebration of the great national holiday – the 35th anniversary of State Independence.
The new facility is located in the industrial zone of Nurek, where various types of drinking water are produced. The head of state was informed that the plant provides 30 local residents with permanent employment and decent wages.
As noted, the plant's production capacity is 15,000 capsules and 5,000 drinking water containers per day.
According to officials, in the city of Nurek, as part of the implementation of the country's accelerated industrialization strategy, the number of industrial enterprises has increased to 31, and the total production volume of the industry over the past five years has amounted to more than 2 billion 427 million somoni.
The city's industrial enterprises produce 46 types of import-substituting products.
Following the opening of the Global Invest enterprise, President Emomali Rahmon viewed an exhibition of industrial products.
The exhibition featured seven types of domestic products, including drinking water, oil, soap, capsules, granules (polyethylene powder), microcement, and reinforcing mesh (reinforcing mesh), which, in addition to being supplied to the domestic market, are also oriented towards export.
The company has established collaboration between science and industry. Specifically, the production of microcement, considered a unique product and in high demand both domestically and internationally, is the result of the company's collaboration with Tajik scientist and inventor Komron Safarzoda. This type of cement is also widely used in the construction of the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Station.
The head of state also visited an exhibition dedicated to the International Navruz holiday, which featured folk crafts, a variety of Tajik dishes, national musical instruments, and other exhibits housed on the enterprise's premises.
Khudzhamurod Azimov is not only a leading entrepreneur in the country, but also a successful parent, ensuring they receive higher education and professional skills. He encouraged his children to pursue knowledge and master their professions. As a result, each of his daughters has their own profession.
During the presentation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to domestic entrepreneur Khujamurod Azimi for his creative and exemplary initiatives.
