In Dushanbe, officers from the Shokhmansur District Department of Internal Affairs No. 2 detained a minor suspected of committing crimes related to theft and vagrancy, according to the capital's police.
The incident was reportedly caused by the lack of proper oversight and responsibility on the part of the teenager's parents. Consequently, Article 73 of the Family Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, which allows for the removal of a child without depriving the parent of parental rights, was applied to the parents.
According to law enforcement, a minor named Zh.A., a 16-year-old resident of Dushanbe, was detained as a suspect in the crimes. Due to his parents' irresponsible behavior, he was excluded from the education system and engaged in vagrancy and illegal activities.
Currently, the minor is placed in the State Educational Institution "Special Vocational and Technical Lyceum of the City of Dushanbe", where he is involved in the educational process.
The police emphasized that in most cases, it is the lack of proper supervision and insufficient responsibility on the part of some parents that leads to children being excluded from education and upbringing, which ultimately contributes to their committing criminal acts.
In this regard, officers from the Shokhmansur District Department of Internal Affairs No. 2 once again appealed to all citizens, especially parents, with an urgent call to demonstrate high responsibility in matters of educating and raising children, and to engage them in acquiring knowledge and developing moral values.
