As part of the Social Protection and Economic Integration Modernization Project, social protection institutions in the Republic of Tajikistan were provided with computer and technical equipment, according to the press service of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The events were held to fulfill the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, given on December 16, 2025, during his address to the Majlisi Oli (National Assembly) regarding the use of digital technologies and the transition to digitalization in all areas. The project is funded by World Bank Grant No. 1600-TJ.






The President emphasized that "the rapid development of digital technologies and the expansion of artificial intelligence capabilities in the modern world require the effective use of these achievements in all areas, transforming them into an additional source of economic growth and services exports."
As part of strengthening technical potential and human resources to ensure the digitalization of the social protection sector and the transition to an electronic document management system, the following equipment was purchased: 550 computers (all-in-one PCs), 273 printing/copying/scanning machines, 550 uninterruptible power supplies, 550 power supply devices, 20 laptops, 2 tablets, 1 video conferencing system, and 2 projectors with screens.


The equipment was distributed among social protection structures and institutions in November–December 2025 as follows:
- The central office and subordinate institutions of the State Social Protection Agency: 106 computers (monoblocks), 76 printing/copying/scanning machines, 106 devices for connecting to the electrical network;
- The central office and subordinate institutions of the State Service for Medical and Social Expertise: 92 computers (monoblocks), 61 printing/copying/scanning devices, 92 devices for connecting to the electrical network;
- Departments of social protection of the population of executive bodies of state power in 68 cities and districts: 136 computers (monoblocks), 68 printing/copying/scanning machines, 136 devices for connecting to the power grid;
- Institutions of the social protection system under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population: 36 computers (monoblocks), 18 printing/copying/scanning machines, 36 devices for connecting to the electrical network;
- Regional centers and home service departments under executive bodies of state power: 150 computers (monoblocks), 50 printing/copying/scanning machines, 150 devices for connecting to the power grid;
- Central office of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population: 7 computers (monoblocks), 11 laptops, 6 printing/copying/scanning machines, 4 projectors with screens, 1 tablet, 7 devices for connecting to the electrical network;
- State Institution "Information and Analytical Center for the Social Protection System": 15 computers (monoblocks), 15 power supply devices, 5 laptops, 2 printing/copying/scanning machines, 1 color printer, 1 tablet, 1 projector with screen, 1 video conferencing system;
- The implementation group for the “Social Protection and Economic Integration Modernization Project”: 8 computers (monoblocks), 4 laptops, 4 printing/copying/scanning machines, 8 power supply devices, 1 color printer, 1 projector with screen, 1 video conferencing system.
It is noted that strengthening the technical potential of the social protection sector is a timely measure and will ensure the sustainable operation of the system in the future.
