In accordance with the instructions and orders of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, who emphasized the importance of environmental improvement and landscaping in his annual address to the Oliy Majlis, activities in Khatlon Region have received new impetus. These measures are aimed at improving the environmental situation, beautifying the environment, and creating favorable living conditions for the population. This was reported by the press service of the Governor of Khatlon Region.
On December 20, the head of the Khatlon region, Davlatali Said, made a working visit to inspect the progress of landscaping, land improvement, and irrigation of arable land in the Jaloliddin Balkhi, Vakhsh, and Kushoniyon districts.



As part of the implementation of the "State Greening Program of the Republic of Tajikistan until 2040," a tree planting campaign was held in the Jaloliddin Balkhi district. This initiative aims to improve the district's ecology, reduce the negative impact of environmental factors, beautify the district, and create a healthy living environment.
During the campaign, various types of shade and evergreen trees were planted along roads, in residential areas, and in specific areas. It is noted that such initiatives are of great importance for fostering a sense of environmental awareness in society and enhancing residents' sense of aesthetics.



The head of the region emphasized that continued tree care, timely irrigation, and active public participation in landscaping are key factors in the sustainability and effectiveness of such initiatives.
According to the Jaloliddin Balkhi District Environmental Protection Department, the 2025–2026 tree-planting season plans to plant 32,000 shade and evergreen trees, 345,000 seasonal and permanent flowers, and landscape an area of 9,000 square meters. To date, over 7,000 shade and evergreen trees and 15,000 ornamental flowers and shrubs have already been planted in the district, improving the district's appearance, improving the population's standard of living, and strengthening the environment.
