During a meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in St. Petersburg, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his sincere condolences over the death of Qobiljon Aliyev, a boy from Tajikistan, at a school in the Moscow region and stated that those responsible would be punished.
"I would like to begin our bilateral meeting with words of sincere condolences to you and the family of the boy from Tajikistan who died several days ago," the Russian leader said.
Putin emphasized that committing terrorist attacks against children is a particularly heinous crime. "Committing terrorist attacks against children is a particularly heinous crime. Without a doubt, the investigation will be completed, and those responsible, if there are several, will certainly be punished to the fullest extent. I repeat: I was shocked by this crime," the Russian president said.
He also noted that such crimes are beyond comprehension. "As I've already said, crimes of this kind are beyond comprehension, and when such terrorist attacks are committed against children, it evokes particularly profound emotions," Putin added. In conclusion, the Russian president asked for his sincere condolences to be conveyed to the family of the deceased boy.
