On December 18, Khatlon Region Governor Davlatali Said held a meeting with investors from the People's Republic of China, according to the Khatlon Region Governor's Public Relations Service.
During the meeting, it was noted that the Khatlon region has established good bilateral relations with reputable Chinese companies, and it was also emphasized that relations between Tajikistan and China are currently developing rapidly.



In his speech, Davlatali Said emphasized that strengthening and expanding business ties with Chinese companies is a priority area of foreign economic activity. The regional governor added that Khatlon is interested in establishing long-term relationships that facilitate the effective use of the regions' potential.
"We view regional cooperation as an important element in developing the economy and trade, attracting investment, creating industrial enterprises, and implementing modern technologies," said Davlatali Said.


Chinese investors noted their potential to facilitate the construction of solar and wind power plants in the region. They also emphasized that China will continuously support Tajikistan's initiatives to secure access to renewable energy sources, such as hydropower, solar, and wind power.
The head of the Khatlon region expressed support for the proposal to build wind and solar power plants, emphasizing the importance of developing renewable energy for the region's sustainable economic growth.
