The latest meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States Commission on Economic Affairs was held at the CIS Executive Committee's Moscow office, according to the CIS Executive Committee's press service.
The meeting was attended by representatives of industry cooperation bodies, ministries and departments, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications, the All-Russian Plant Quarantine Center, the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing, the General Confederation of Trade Unions, the Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS, as well as Deputy Secretary-General of the CIS Dmitry Trefilov and responsible officials of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting was chaired by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation, Chairman of the CIS Commission on Economic Affairs Gulmahmadzoda Daler Kodir.
During the meeting, the Commission members exchanged views on the agenda items and made appropriate decisions. Specifically, the following issues were considered:
— draft Regulations on the interstate event “Commonwealth Fair”; — initiatives of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications; — activities of the Coordinating Council for Plant Quarantine of the CIS Member States in 2019–2024; — activities of the Advisory Council for the Protection of Consumer Rights of the CIS Member States in 2018–2024; — activities of the basic organization of the CIS member states for improving the qualifications and retraining of personnel in the field of selection and seed production of vegetable crops and potatoes; — date and draft agenda of the next meeting of the Economic Affairs Commission; — the results of the work of the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council in 2025.
The Commission submitted materials on a number of issues for consideration by the CIS Economic Council, which is scheduled for April 2026.
The next meeting of the CIS Economic Commission is scheduled for January 21, 2026.
