The United States has lifted its ban on non-immigrant visas for citizens of Turkmenistan.

The United States has lifted its ban on non-immigrant visas for citizens of Turkmenistan, while maintaining the suspension on immigrant visas, according to a White House document.

"Because Turkmenistan has engaged constructively with the United States and demonstrated significant progress… this new proclamation lifts the ban on nonimmigrant visas while maintaining the suspension of entry for citizens of Turkmenistan as immigrants," the document states.
