At the fourth session of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Rustam Emomali gave specific instructions to the relevant committees to prepare a legislative ban on the use, production and circulation of electronic cigarettes in national legislation.
The decision was made to protect the nation's gene pool and prevent negative consequences for public health, especially among young people and adolescents. During the discussion, it was noted that excessive use of e-cigarettes can lead to serious respiratory, cardiovascular, and lung diseases, including cancer, according to medical experts.
The Chairman of the Majlisi Milli emphasized the need to promptly adopt appropriate legislative measures to limit the spread of electronic cigarettes in the country and reduce risks to public health.
The session also discussed other measures aimed at strengthening healthcare and preventing diseases among adolescents and young people, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle.
