The President's Cup, one of the region's strongest international chess tournaments, continues in the capital of Uzbekistan. More than 200 athletes, including grandmasters and masters from various countries, are participating.
Tajikistan is represented at the competition by a team of chess players who are demonstrating impressive results and confidently competing for top positions, according to the press service of the Tajikistan Chess Federation.



In Group A, the current champion of the Republic of Tajikistan, FIDE Master Alisher Karimov (rated 2290), has scored 4 points out of a possible 6. According to the tournament table, he is in the top half of the field, demonstrating consistent play and confidently maintaining his position among the leaders.
Several Tajik chess players are competing in Group B:
- Saidakhror Kurbonov (rating 1844) – 4 points out of 6 possible,
- Negmat Ziyaev (rating 1814) – 4 points out of 6 possible,
- young promising Akhmad Saidakramzoda (rating 1502) – 3 points out of 6 possible.
All Tajikistan representatives remain in good spirits and have a good chance of improving their positions in the remaining rounds of the tournament.
