On November 29, 2025, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan announced the full implementation of the autumn conscription plan for the country's armed forces. The conscription, which began in early October, has been fully completed, according to a statement from the ministry's press service.
"All state commissions in the country's cities and districts have reported the full implementation of the plan for conscripting young men into military service, and the autumn conscription plan has been fully implemented," the press release stated.
The Ministry of Defense's statement emphasized that the cities and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region were the first to fully implement the conscription plan. Four districts in the capital also fully fulfilled the conscription plan.
Furthermore, officials in the Khatlon and Sughd regions demonstrated high civic responsibility and ensured the implementation of the autumn conscription plan. The department's press service added that in those cities and districts where authorities focused on the campaign, the level and quality of conscription and farewell events for citizens entering military service were rated as good.
It should be noted that in Tajikistan, conscription for military service is carried out annually for male citizens aged 18 to 27 in two seasons: spring – in April-May and autumn – in October-November.
