Farmers in the Bobojon Gafurov district of Sughd region have fulfilled their annual cotton production plan. This was reported to the head of the region, Rajab Akhmadzoda, on November 24, according to the press service of the Sughd regional administration.
According to the information, the head of the Bobojon Gafurov district, Nusratullo Salimzoda, informed the regional leader that the results achieved by agricultural producers were recognized as a valuable gift for the National Flag Day of the Republic of Tajikistan.
This year, cotton was sown on 7,505 hectares in the district. All available resources and capabilities were utilized to achieve a bountiful harvest. According to the regional administration, 18,287.1 tons of cotton have been produced to date, representing 100.2% of the annual plan.
It is noted that the fulfillment of the production plan was the result of the dedicated work and tireless efforts of the region's cotton growers.
