As a result of a massive night attack on Kyiv carried out by Russia using drones and missiles, residential buildings were damaged, and there were deaths and injuries, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) and local rescuers reported.
According to the latest reports, two people died in a nine-story residential building in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital, five were injured, and 17 people, including three children, were rescued. In the Pecherskyi district, a 22-story building was hit at the fourth and fifth floors, causing damage to the fourth, fifth, and seventh floors. The fire on the fifth floor has been extinguished, and work to dismantle the structure and search for possible victims is ongoing.
Additionally, a residential building in the Dniprovskyi district was hit, causing damage and fire on the sixth and seventh floors. Garage damage was also reported, with a fire covering approximately 50 square meters and damage covering an area of 400 square meters.
The Kyiv region also came under fire. Enemy strikes targeted the Brovarsky, Belotserkovsky, and Vyshgorod districts. In Bila Tserkva, a four-story residential building was damaged. Rescuers evacuated 46 people from the building and its basement, which was being used as shelter. Four more houses were completely destroyed. A 14-year-old child was injured in the attacks.
Earlier, on November 19, Russia launched a massive combined arms strike on Ternopil. The shelling damaged residential high-rise buildings, industrial and warehouse facilities, and caused major fires. One high-rise building was destroyed from the third to the ninth floors. More than 30 people were killed and nearly a hundred were injured.
