The latest round of political consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran at the deputy foreign minister level took place in Dushanbe, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The negotiations took place on November 24, 2025, under the leadership of Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Farrukh Sharifzoda and Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Majid Takht-Ravanchi.
During the consultations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, issues related to the implementation of previously reached agreements at the highest level, as well as the development of cooperation in areas of mutual interest in the regional and international contexts.
According to the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the talks were held in a constructive atmosphere and a spirit of mutual understanding. The parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening friendly relations between Tajikistan and Iran, as well as their willingness to expand cooperation in political, economic, cultural, and other areas.
