As a result of an investigation by officers from the Department for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, five cases of the sale of tobacco products to minors were identified.
According to the capital's police, citizens Komilkhonzoda Sukhaybullo, Chutakov Akhmadzhon, Sohibnazari Abdualim, Nazarov Ikromboy, and Gulov Kosimdzhon, who were engaged in the sale of hookahs and electronic cigarettes, knowingly sold such products to individuals under the age of 18 for financial gain.
Administrative protocols were drawn up against the violators under Article 463, Appendix 2 of the Code of the Republic of Tajikistan on Administrative Offenses, and administrative fines were imposed.
Police officers strongly recommend that citizens not leave children unattended and cooperate with law enforcement agencies in preventing minors from using tobacco products.
