On November 18, 2025, in Brussels, Tajikistan's Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with European Union Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner. This was reported by the Tajik Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed comprehensive cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union on strengthening borders and countering security challenges, including the joint fight against terrorism and extremism.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for a strategic partnership between Tajikistan and the EU, strengthening bilateral ties, simplifying the visa process, and regulating labor migration.
Following the talks, the parties confirmed their interest in further developing cooperation aimed at improving regional security and creating favorable conditions for labor migration.
