During inspections, employees of the Department for the Prevention of Juvenile and Youth Delinquency of the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs uncovered cases of the sale of hookahs and electronic cigarettes to minors.
Despite the fact that the sale of any tobacco products to minors is strictly prohibited, some citizens, seeking material gain, deliberately violate the law.
Specifically, it was established that citizens Shukrona Rakhmatulloeva, Nemat Sukhalzoda, and Muslikhidin Rahimzoda knowingly sold hookahs and e-cigarettes to teenagers. During the investigation, a significant quantity of prohibited products was found and seized from these individuals.
Administrative protocols were drawn up against the violators under Article 463, Part 2, of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan, and administrative fines were imposed.
The Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on all citizens to strengthen supervision of children and prevent them from becoming involved in the use of harmful substances, including tobacco products and e-cigarettes.
