The 23rd meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, chaired by Denis Manturov, Chairman of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. The meeting discussed the results of the Commission's activities to implement the decisions of the XXII meeting of the Interstate Commission on Foreign Economic Relations, which took place in September 2024 in Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic).
The meeting agenda addressed areas for the further development of military-economic cooperation within the CSTO. Key issues included organizing personnel training for enterprises and organizations in the defense-industrial complexes of CSTO member states, creating an interstate cataloging system for armed forces supplies, and ensuring mutual protection of intellectual property rights obtained and used during military-economic cooperation. The Commission adopted appropriate decisions on all issues considered.
The meeting also decided to hold the 2nd CSTO Military-Economic Conference in Minsk, Belarus, in 2026, where it is planned to summarize the Commission's work over the past 20 years and identify tasks for the near future.
In addition, the IEC's Work Plan for 2026 was approved. The next, 24th meeting of the Commission is scheduled for September–October 2026 in the Republic of Belarus.
