At the Khatlon Invest 2025 International Investment Forum, 14 women entrepreneurs from the Khatlon region were awarded grants totaling 245,000 somoni from the regional governor, according to NIAT Khovar.
The grants are intended for the implementation of projects in the development of agriculture, small manufacturing enterprises, clothing production, and other areas.
The head of the Khatlon region, Davlatali Said, emphasized that the country's government, under the leadership of Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, attaches particular importance to the development of women's entrepreneurship.
"We are proud that hundreds of proactive women in the region are contributing to the creation of new jobs, the production of domestic goods, and the expansion of economic activity in the region," he noted.
Currently, more than 30,000 women are engaged in entrepreneurial activity in the Khatlon region, of which approximately 20,000 are heads of farms and producers of agricultural export products.
Previously, in 2024–2025, as part of the support for the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to establish grants, 44 women entrepreneurs in the region were awarded grants from the regional chairman.
