In the capital of Tajikistan, individuals charged with vagrancy and begging were sent to perform community service, according to the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the agency's statement, this measure is being implemented based on court decisions and as part of ongoing preventive and educational work aimed at engaging offenders in socially significant activities.
"Individuals subject to administrative arrest for committing administrative offenses are assigned to community service—street cleaning, clearing trash from areas, and participating in the improvement of the capital's districts," the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.
According to the capital's police, this initiative not only helps clean up the city but also increases the level of social responsibility for violators. The practice of engaging in community service will be expanded in the future.
The events are carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan and are coordinated jointly with local government bodies and public utilities.
