In Tajikistan, the inflation rate for the first half of 2025 was 1.8%, down 0.1 percentage points compared to the same period last year. This was announced by Zavqi Zavqizoda, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, at a press conference in Dushanbe.
According to him, the main factor driving inflation was the rise in food prices, which amounted to 2.9%. The second significant component was the increase in service tariffs, which grew by 3.4%.
"Despite external economic challenges and ongoing pressure on global markets, Tajikistan has managed to maintain a stable macroeconomic situation and control inflation," Zavqizoda emphasized.
The Minister noted that curbing inflation was made possible by the effective coordination of monetary and fiscal policies, as well as the implementation of a set of measures aimed at ensuring food security and curbing price increases on the domestic market.
According to forecasts from the Ministry of Economic Development, inflation in the country will remain within the target range set by the National Bank of Tajikistan until the end of this year.
