A meeting of the joint board of the Tajik and Russian ministries of internal affairs, which will discuss the search for individuals and the exchange of information on crime prevention, will be held in late September 2025 in Tajikistan. Minister of Internal Affairs Ramazon Rahimzoda told reporters.
"A similar meeting is planned for Tajikistan this year. The board will meet around the end of September. We will consider the issue of searching for wanted individuals, and secondly, the exchange of information on combating crime," Rahimzoda said.
According to him, such meetings are held annually, alternating between Tajikistan and Russia. In the fall of 2024, a meeting was held in Moscow, where the two countries' interior ministers, Ramazon Rahimzoda and Vladimir Kolokoltsev, approved an interagency work plan for 2025. At that time, the parties also discussed measures to combat transnational crime and mechanisms for information exchange between law enforcement agencies.
Meetings of the joint board of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries have been held since 1999. These meetings traditionally address issues of jointly combating modern threats, including terrorism, extremism, drug and arms trafficking, cybercrime, and other forms of transnational crime.
