The next meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in 2026 in Tajikistan, according to the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
From August 11 to 14, a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS countries is taking place in St. Petersburg, attended by Tajik Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda. The agenda includes 12 issues concerning key areas of cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the member states.
Topics discussed included priority areas of cooperation between ministries of internal affairs, the implementation of interstate programs in the fight against crime, and a draft Concept for the Development of Information Interaction between CIS Countries in Combating Crimes Committed Using Information Technology.
During the meeting, Rahimzoda presented a number of proposals aimed at strengthening both bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as increasing the effectiveness of joint measures to ensure law and order and security in the region.
Following the meeting, a decision was made to hold the next meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS countries in 2026 in Tajikistan.
