In honor of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the Eurasian Bureau of China Media Group (CMG), together with the Chinese Embassy in Russia, held a celebratory event in Moscow entitled "Echo of Peace – Dialogue on Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation." It took place on August 18 at the World Trade Center (WTC).
Shen Haixiong, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and CEO of China Media Group, delivered a video address. Guest speakers included Andrei Denisov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs; Zhang Wei, Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Russia; Ivan Arkhipov, Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society; and Vyacheslav Zimonin, Professor at the Military University of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The event brought together more than a hundred people, including representatives of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society, the Veterans Committee, the Russian Academy of Military Sciences, the Young Guard organization, and descendants of Soviet veterans who aided China during the war.

The event featured a screening of the film "Ballad of the Great Wall: The Steel Spine" (international version) and a presentation of the joint documentary project of China Media Corporation and the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company "The Great Victory: The Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression Through the Lens of a Soviet Cameraman," which served as evidence of the intertwined historical memories of China and Russia.

A special part of the program was the touching interaction between participants from the two countries: Natalia Khryukina, daughter of Soviet volunteer pilot Timofey Khryukin and chair of the Association of Descendants of Soviet Volunteer Pilots, shared the story of her family's connection to China and then spoke via video link with Wei Yingxiang, the custodian of the graves of Soviet pilots in Chongqing. This vividly demonstrated the deep friendship between the peoples of Russia and China.
In conclusion, Natalya Khryukina, on behalf of the Association of Descendants of Soviet Volunteer Pilots, presented the China Media Corporation with a valuable gift – "Wings of Friendship: Soviet Pilots in China." This significant gift became an important and emotional part of the congratulations on the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
