An informational event on combating human trafficking was held in the meeting room of the Asht District Executive Authority. The event was initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan as part of the implementation of the National Plan to Combat Human Trafficking for 2025–2027, approved by a government decree, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.

According to the organizers, 85 people participated in the event, including Deputy District Chairperson Anisa Abdullozoda, heads of educational institutions, members of the public, employees of the Sughd Region Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and representatives of the OSCE Office in Dushanbe.
The purpose of the meeting was to raise awareness among education workers about the risks of human trafficking and measures to prevent it. In his speech, Police Lieutenant Colonel Ramazon Khabibzoda, Head of the Department for Combating Human Trafficking at the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sughd Region, noted that this crime degrades human dignity and requires a strong response.
"Human trafficking is a phenomenon that cannot be forgiven by either the state or society. Only through joint efforts can we prevent such incidents," he emphasized.
Participants were reminded of the importance of promptly contacting law enforcement agencies if suspicious situations are detected. Similar awareness-raising events continue in cities and districts of the Sughd region.
