President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli (National Assembly of the Majlisi Oli), Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustami Emomali, attended the opening ceremony of the new building of the Islamic Institute of Tajikistan named after Imam Azam – Abu Hanifa Nu'man ibn Sabit in the Sino district of Dushanbe. This was reported by the presidential press service.
The educational institution was built with the support of the Reserve Fund of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the participation of the country's philanthropists. The institute's architectural design reflects national cultural traditions and modern requirements. The new complex is designed to accommodate 2,500 students and will become one of the country's leading research and educational centers.
As noted at the ceremony, the opening of the institute is part of the educational policy of the President of Tajikistan and is timed to coincide with the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence.
