Tajikistan's Foreign Minister, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, held talks with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Tajikistan, Kavilmadam Ramaswamy Parvati. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The parties discussed the current state of interaction and prospects for further development of cooperation between Tajikistan and UN agencies. The focus was on the implementation of joint programs aimed at the country's sustainable socioeconomic development.
"The meeting included an exchange of views on key areas of bilateral cooperation, including the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, infrastructure development, climate change, and the rational use of water resources," the statement said.
The parties paid special attention to preparations for upcoming high-level international events, in which Tajikistan intends to actively participate as an initiator and partner of a number of global initiatives.
The talks concluded with a confirmation of mutual readiness to deepen constructive cooperation, strengthen coordination, and expand joint projects in the humanitarian, social, and economic spheres.
