In anticipation of the 2025 SCO Summit, Tianjin, the host city, is preparing for the meeting, creating a festive atmosphere. Flags symbolizing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have been hung along both sides of the main streets of this city neighboring the Chinese capital, along with flower arrangements. The banks of the Haihe River and the historic Wu Dadao district have been decorated and illuminated. All of the city's main landmarks have been renovated. In preparation for the SCO Summit, Tianjin also renovated its main roads and bridges, and updated the lighting along the riverbanks.
Jiao Yong, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Committee for Urban Management, said: "After urban improvements, infrastructure upgrades, and greening, traffic on city roads has become safer and faster. The city itself looks neater and more well-maintained, preserving its unique culture and vibrant atmosphere. Figuratively speaking, Tianjin is ready to welcome guests from all over the world with a flawless smile and a proud posture." (Photo: VCG)
