During his official visit to Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustami Emomali, met with Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbayev. This was reported by the Majlisi Milli of the Parliament of Tajikistan.
During the talks between the heads of the upper houses of parliament, as well as an expanded meeting with the participation of parliamentary delegations from the two countries, the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, the development of interparliamentary ties, and current issues on the international and regional agendas were discussed.
Rustami Emomali expressed gratitude to Maulen Ashimbayev for the invitation to visit Kazakhstan on an official visit and emphasized the Tajik side's commitment to strengthening friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation with the republic.
The interlocutors praised the positive dynamics of the strategic and allied partnership between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, particularly noting the significant contribution of the two countries' presidents, Emomali Rahmon and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the development of bilateral relations.
That same day, Rustami Emomali, as a sign of respect for the history and unity of the people of Kazakhstan, laid a wreath at the "Defenders of the Fatherland" memorial in Astana. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, the Deputy Akim of Astana, and other officials.
