On February 26, the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Parliament) of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan held a meeting on the topic "The Importance of the Transition to a Twelve-Year Education System: Compliance with International Standards and Prospects," NIAT Khovar reported, citing the Majlisi Namoyandagon.
Deputy Chairperson of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Mavsuma Muini noted that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, in his Address to the Majlisi Oli instructed officials to take measures to bring the education system into line with international standards, including preparing for the transition to a 12-year education system.


According to her, the transition to a 12-year education system is a requirement of the times and requires greater responsibility from those in the field. This system, she emphasized, is necessary to improve the quality of education and the international competitiveness of graduates.
Barno Saidvalizoda, Chair of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture, and Youth Policy, noted that 12-year education promotes the development of intellectual and technical thinking, teamwork, communication skills, digital literacy, and initiative in the younger generation.
In this regard, the need to revise standards, programs, and educational literature, to create favorable conditions for the transition to a 12-year education system, and to improve modern educational approaches and teaching methods was emphasized.
