Employees of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan in Russia held a meeting with migrant workers working in Moscow, the ministry's press service reported .
The event took place on August 25 at the construction site of the contractor, Garant-Proekt LLC, where Tajik citizens are constructing an administrative building at 22 Stakhanovskaya Street, Building 2, Moscow.
During the meeting, migrants were reminded of the need to strictly adhere to Russian legislation, safety standards, and sanitary requirements in the workplace. Particular attention was paid to legal and social protection issues.
"Citizens should remember that participating in banned organizations and accessing dubious online resources carries serious risks. It's important to remain vigilant and not give in to provocations," the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection emphasized.
Furthermore, diplomatic mission staff inspected the migrants' working conditions, focusing on the timely payment of wages and employers' compliance with employment contracts. Tajik citizens were reminded of the need to sign employment contracts before commencing work.
The meeting also discussed issues related to the expiration of Decree No. 1126 of the President of the Russian Federation, dated December 30, 2024, which expires in two weeks. Therefore, citizens were advised to promptly resolve issues related to their legal stay in Russia to avoid potential legal consequences.
Representative Office staff explained to migrants the specifics of using the ruID mobile app and the new "Amina" service, which will launch on September 1 of this year. All participants received consultations on legal and social issues related to their stay and work in Russia.
At the conclusion of the event, the Representative Office staff assured that if employers violate the terms of their employment contracts, citizens can seek legal assistance and help in receiving their wages.
Meeting participants expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Labor representatives for their attention and useful information, noting that such events help them feel more secure and confident in the host country.
