Officers from the Sino District Department of Internal Affairs No. 2 in Dushanbe detained a woman involved in fortune telling and witchcraft. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Dushanbe.

According to the agency, the detainee, Umeda Khakimova, gained the trust of city residents and, using their personal information, offered fortune-telling services and other occult practices.

An administrative protocol was drawn up against the offender under Article 482 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan. The court fined her 80 times the fine, or 6,000 somoni.

Law enforcement agencies have urged citizens to exercise vigilance and refrain from contacting individuals offering such illegal services.
