Dushanbe hosted the launch of its new tourism portal and official social media pages under the DUSHANBE.TRAVEL brand. The event, held at IT Park Dushanbe, was initiated by the city's executive authority.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe Dilbar Odilzoda, representatives of the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic, heads of city and district administrations, media representatives, as well as active bloggers and social media users.
The new portal www.dushanbe-travel.tj was created with the participation of IT specialists. It aims to promote the development of the tourism industry, enhance the capital's infrastructure, popularize Tajik culture and traditions internationally, and attract more foreign tourists.
The resource includes an interactive map of attractions, promotional videos, photo galleries, and reference information about tourist, cultural, and historical sites in three languages—Tajik, Russian, and English.
DUSHANBE.TRAVEL's official social media pages were simultaneously launched on Facebook, Instagram, VKontakte, Threads, TikTok, and Telegram. They regularly publish content about the capital's tourism opportunities, cultural, and sporting events.
According to the organizers, the project's Facebook page has over 15,500 followers, with a monthly reach of 1 million users. On Instagram, the number of followers exceeds 103,000, with 35% of them being foreign citizens. Short videos on this social network receive up to 1.5 million views, and the total audience reach reaches 5 million users per month.
Since the beginning of the year, DUSHANBE.TRAVEL has published over 4,100 photographs and 320 videos featuring Dushanbe's landmarks.
The organizers note that the project will not only become an effective tool for promoting the capital's tourism potential but will also create a foundation for the development of digital tourism, attracting investment, and expanding cooperation with international companies.
