President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon addressed the country's citizens and compatriots abroad with a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of State independence.
The head of state emphasized that independence and freedom are the greatest values for the Tajik people, thanks to which it became possible to build a national state and revive language, history, culture, and millennial traditions.
"Today, our independent Tajikistan, like other developed countries around the world, is steadily moving toward a brighter future. Thanks to the dedicated work of its people, the country is becoming increasingly prosperous and beautiful from independence day to independence day," Emomali Rahmon noted.
The President recalled that since the first years of independence, the Tajik people have endured difficult trials, but have demonstrated resilience and historical heroism, managing to preserve statehood and national unity.
Rahmon emphasized that significant progress has been made in achieving national strategic goals over the years of independence: energy independence, transforming Tajikistan into a transit country, ensuring food security, and accelerating industrialization. These steps have helped reduce poverty and improve living standards.
According to him, special attention is paid to the development of science, education, culture, and spirituality. Over the years of independence, the number of educational institutions at all levels has increased significantly, and hundreds of theaters, cultural centers, libraries, museums, and sports facilities have been built across the country.
The President also noted Tajikistan's recognition on the international stage. Specifically, the country initiated a number of global projects at the UN, including hosting the International Conference on Glacier Conservation and adopting a resolution on the role of artificial intelligence in the sustainable development of Central Asia.
In closing his address, Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the country's future depends on the unity, hard work, and patriotism of every citizen. "We are obligated to respect, preserve, and protect our peace, stability, and national unity, which were achieved at a high price," the head of state declared.
He wished every resident of Tajikistan happiness, peace and well-being, and the country eternal prosperity and stability.
