The Committee for Women and Family Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan has launched a contact center providing legal and psychological assistance to citizens on issues related to family relations and protection from violence. This was reported by the agency's press service.
The committee informed the public of the center's launch in advance via SMS. The messages stated that anyone facing domestic violence could call +992 (37) 221-30-40 and receive qualified assistance.
The contact center accepts calls Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. According to the committee, the center has been operational for over two months.
"While previously specialists primarily conducted in-person consultations, they are now also available by telephone," the department clarified.
The center provides free consultations on housing, alimony, divorce, domestic violence, and other socially significant issues. Both women and men are welcome to seek help.
