Tajikistan's Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin met with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov in the Qatari capital, the CIS Executive Committee press service reported.
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for further deepening regional cooperation, expanding trade, economic, and cultural ties, as well as joint efforts to address pressing issues of interest to the two countries and the region as a whole.
According to Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are consistently strengthening their strategic partnership and allied relations.
The heads of the foreign ministries reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and good-neighborly relations in Central Asia, emphasizing that this is the foundation for prosperity and security for the peoples of the region.
The meeting became an important part of the bilateral dialogue and demonstrates the desire of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to strengthen cooperation in various areas, including economics, culture, education, and international initiatives.
