On September 14, at the Edelweiss training center in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Central Asian Regional Collective Rapid Deployment Forces (CAR CRDF) held an operational training session on "Fundamentals of the CAR CRDF's preparation and conduct of combat operations to destroy illegal armed groups invading the territory of a CSTO member state," according to the CSTO Joint Press Center.
Participants were introduced to an analysis of the challenges and threats in the Central Asian region, the status and development prospects of the CSTO military component, practical recommendations for organizing and conducting combat operations, and current trends in the use of air defense, electronic warfare, and UAV assets in armed conflicts. Command officers were also briefed on the development of command and control systems, the specifics of using engineering troops and NBC protection units, and the organization of technical and logistical support for the CAR CRRF.
The objectives of the meeting were to develop unified approaches to organizing the work of the operational staff of the command bodies of the CAR CRRF during the preparation and conduct of combat operations, as well as to coordinate the command and staff of the CAR CRRF on the eve of the active phase of the command and staff exercise "Rubezh-2025", which will be held from September 17 to 20.
