A Tajik-Russian working group has considered the possibility of organizing an exam in Russian language, history, and Russian legislation for Tajik citizens traveling to Russia for work, held in the republic. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of Tajikistan.
The issue was discussed in Sochi during the ninth meeting of the working group on the implementation of the agreement between the governments of the two countries on the organized involvement of Tajik citizens in temporary labor activities in Russia, signed in 2019.
According to the agency, conducting the exam in Tajikistan's home country will facilitate citizens' better adaptation to Russia's social and legal environment. Meeting participants noted the need to establish a training base in Tajikistan to prepare migrant workers according to Russian educational standards, as well as to organize mandatory medical examinations prior to departure.
The parties also discussed the activities of the representative office of the Federal Unitary Enterprise "Passport and Visa Service" of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tajikistan and measures to improve service provision to citizens. The Russian side presented new digital migration solutions aimed at simplifying registration and service procedures for migrant workers.
The Tajik delegation, in turn, emphasized the need to address the social and legal problems of migrants in Russia and strengthen their social protection mechanisms.
