On Monday night, Russia launched airstrikes against several regions of Ukraine, according to Ukrainian authorities. According to them, the attacks in Zaporizhia killed two people, injured others, and caused damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.
According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration (ORMA), at least five aerial bomb strikes hit the city. Two people were killed and two others were injured, one of whom is in serious condition. Civilian infrastructure, industrial facilities, and residential buildings were damaged.
According to Ukrainian authorities, drone strikes also struck the Kyiv region. Fires were reported in a three-story building and two private houses in the Boryspil district. A man was injured by shrapnel. In the Obukhiv district, debris from a downed drone damaged a multi-story building, and a private house burned down in the Fastiv district. Ukrainian Telegram channels reported that the target of the attack may have been near Boryspil Airport.
Additionally, around 4:00 a.m., drones attacked the city of Sumy. The head of the city's military administration, Serhiy Krivosheenko, reported three strikes in the Kovpakovsky district, which resulted in fires. Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar clarified that two industrial facilities and one educational institution were damaged. Windows were shattered in neighboring residential buildings, and a security guard was injured.
Air raid sirens were also issued overnight in Kyiv and several other regions of Ukraine. The Ukrainian side reported that air defense systems were operational.
