Military attachés from the United States, Kazakhstan, Russia, China, India, and Turkey, as well as representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), observed the final stage of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) command and staff exercise "Frontier-2025" in Kyrgyzstan, the CSTO Joint Staff press service told TASS.
"On September 20, the final stage of the Rubezh-2025 exercise, involving the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR), took place at the Edelweiss training center," noted press secretary Vladislav Shchegrikovich. He added that military attachés from foreign countries and representatives of international organizations participated in the exercise.
The exercises involved military contingents from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, as well as operational groups from the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat. The Russian contingent was represented by servicemen from the Central Military District, stationed at the 201st Military Base. The total number of participants in the exercises amounted to approximately 1,200 personnel and 500 units of military and special equipment, including aircraft, helicopters, drones, and combat boats.
Shchegrikovich recalled that the CAR CRRF was formed in 2001 by decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council. The primary missions of these forces are to participate in repelling external military aggression and conducting joint counter-terrorism operations.
