Starting October 1, 2025, the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan announced that the registration of imported and exported goods, as well as vehicles, will be carried out through the ASIKUDA customs information system.
This innovation is being implemented as part of government programs and strategies for digitalizing the economy and is aimed at adapting customs procedures to international standards. The ASIKUDA system integrates modern digital technologies, including elements of artificial intelligence, and helps speed up customs clearance processes and improve the transparency and efficiency of customs authorities.
The Tajikistan Customs Service has already prepared the necessary material and technical resources and established cooperation with partners to ensure the system's full functionality. The transition to ASIKUDA covers all customs procedures and regimes, including transit, goods accounting, and the processing of manifests and customs declarations, which will improve the quality of customs payments to the state budget.
To optimize control and expedite procedures, importers will be required to provide advance information on goods and vehicles electronically through the system no later than two hours before arrival at the border. This will improve the efficiency of customs control and expedite cargo processing at checkpoints.
According to Customs Service representatives, the implementation of ASIKUDA will be an important step in the development of digital services in the country, providing convenient access to customs services for businesses and citizens, as well as facilitating the expansion of cashless payments.
The ASIKUDA system covers most foreign trade procedures, including accounting, transit and cargo waiting, and provides data for statistical and economic analysis, which contributes to improved planning and monitoring of economic processes.
