Tajikistan's experience in studying the labor market was presented at the International Forum "From Poverty to Development," held in Namangan, Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Representatives of over 30 international organizations and approximately 200 experts from various countries participated in the forum. Tajikistan was represented by Soleh Kholmahmadzoda, Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment, who presented a report entitled "Skills as a Factor in Sustainable Development: Tajikistan's Experience in Studying the Labor Market."
"Fighting poverty is an integral part of social policy and a key condition for ensuring stability, social justice, and improving living standards. The international forum provides an opportunity to share successful experiences, discuss solutions to employment and poverty issues, and establish effective cooperation," the minister noted.
The report emphasized that developing productive employment and training skilled workers are strategic priorities for the government of Tajikistan. Significant results have been achieved in this area in recent years, including improving the level of professional training for citizens, creating new jobs, and introducing modern skills development programs.
Forum participants discussed current issues of socioeconomic development, the implementation of effective employment practices, improving workforce skills, and reducing poverty in Central Asian countries and globally.
