In the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, during an investigation, officers from the Shokhmansur District Department of Internal Affairs No. 1 discovered the illegal activity of Natalya Bukreeva, who was engaged in fortune telling and witchcraft in her own home for monetary compensation, the city's Interior Ministry reported .
During a search of Bukreeva's apartment, numerous photographs of individuals, maps, locks and keys, candles, thread, needles, matches, pigeon feathers, and other items used for magical rituals were seized. According to police, the woman had been receiving clients for a long time and performing fortune-telling and witchcraft rituals for money.
An administrative protocol was filed against Bukreeva under Article 482 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan. The court imposed an administrative fine of 6,000 somoni, equivalent to 80 times the minimum wage.
The Dushanbe Ministry of Internal Affairs urges citizens to report such illegal activities and cooperate with law enforcement to completely eradicate this negative phenomenon in the capital.
