A meeting of the Working Group on the development of a draft Comprehensive Program aimed at creating a common labor market and regulating labor migration among CIS member states took place on September 26 in Minsk, according to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting was attended by representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the CIS, the General Confederation of Trade Unions, and the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth.
Having discussed the positions received from countries on the points under consideration in the provisions of the draft Comprehensive Program and additional proposals for its content, the meeting participants made a number of additions and clarifications to the text and also decided to continue work on the document.
In addition, the Working Group participants agreed on the advisability of finalizing the draft model agreement "On ensuring mutual recognition of documents of migrant workers of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States," which was initiated and developed by the Uzbek side.
Taking into account the consideration of the issue of the draft Comprehensive Program at the regular meeting of the Consultative Council on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Population of the Commonwealth Countries on October 30-31 in Tashkent, a decision was made to hold an additional meeting of the Working Group chaired by the Uzbek side.
