Tajikistan and Kazakhstan intend to intensify cooperation in healthcare and social protection, the Tajik ministry's press service reported.
On the afternoon of October 2, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan between the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population, Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, and the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akmaral Alnazarova.
The parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and prospects for its further development. Particular attention was paid to the digitalization of the healthcare system, advanced training and retraining of medical personnel, the introduction of modern diagnostic and treatment methods, and other important areas of cooperation.
It was noted that, thanks to the friendly policies of the two countries' leaders, cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in the areas of healthcare and social protection is developing dynamically and encompassing an increasing number of joint initiatives.
The health ministers expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the countries and confirmed their readiness to further strengthen and expand it.
According to the department, Kazakhstan's Minister of Health, Akmaral Alnazarova, arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the 38th meeting of the CIS Council for Cooperation in Healthcare, which will be held on October 3 at the National Library of Tajikistan.
