As part of the 38th meeting of the Council for Cooperation in Healthcare of the CIS Member States, a meeting was held between Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda and Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Asilbek Khudoyorov, the ministry's press service reported.

During the meeting, it was noted that cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in the field of healthcare and social protection, based on the constructive policies of the heads of the two friendly and fraternal countries, is currently at the appropriate level, and there are great opportunities and potential for its expansion.
A striking example of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare is the establishment and operation of the State Institution "Tajikistan-Uzbekistan Friendship Medical Complex" in the Qubodiyon district of the Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan, initiated by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Tajikistan-Uzbekistan Friendship Medical Complex was officially opened in 2021 by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as part of the friendly and fraternal policy of the top leaders of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The parties expressed satisfaction that cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare will continue to flourish and that they will use all available opportunities to do so.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
